The Alien Range DVR is built on an embedded platform and combines the latest in advanced H.264 video encoding and decoding technologies maintaining solid reliability and high performance.

A special feature allows you 1fps background recording switching to real-time on motion detect to extend recording if needed.

These cameras are fitted with SONY Super HAD CCD. The cameras have a digital slow shutter function for extremely low lux operation and a digital noise reduction circuit. The cameras are also fitted with a built in microphone and audio output, the housing has a back focus feature making the camera easy to set up.

Dome cameras are most popular because they can be installed discreetly on a wall or ceiling corner with all the cables hidden within the casing. Unlike body cameras, Dome Cameras come with built in lenses, usually one of two types. A fixed focal length lens where the view cannot be changed, or an adjustable vari-focal lens for cameras that need to change focal distance from time to time.

The most recent dome cameras have a selection of high-technology features such as True Day/Night Filters for high-visibility black and white images at night time, built-in Infra Red Illuminators to see in complete darkness, and Wide Dynamic range, which allows the camera to see in extremely bright light as well as ultra low light conditions.

In some situations it can be more advantageous to make it less obvious that you are monitoring areas of your business, Bromsgrove CCTV have a range of Covert cameras to suit such a situation. Camera's such as the Covert Smoke Detector Camera blend seamlessly into the surroundings without cutting corners on picture and colour quality.

In some situations the use of fixed position cameras is highly effective and do the job they are needed to do, but in many circumstances the need to be able to focus on certain points of an area at any given time is essential, the solution is the Pan,Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) camera also known as the Speed camera. These cameras can be controlled remotely, change zoom level (typically 10X up to 36X) and moved in any direction via a keyboard or joystick. Other ways of controlling the Speed Camera are through the DVR Security System using a mouse or even via an Infra Red remote control.


The PTZ Camera is often used to visually patrol a wide area with preset to switch between certain areas in a loop. Whilst in this type of loop it's possible to take manual control at any point to focus on a particular area of interest and return to the preset loop after a set amount of inactivity. It is also possible to connect a motion PIR (passive infrared sensor) to the Speed Camera so when a person comes within the motion detection range the camera will automatically spin round to face that point. These cameras are ideal for car-parks, security gates/fences or any application where a large area needs to be monitored
